She’s still a fab ambassador and support to the brand #careersatmonsoon. A few words from the lady herself…“as a Designer for Monsoon Womenswear I got to travel the world, meeting artisans and collecting inspiration everywhere I went. I now have an obsession with embellished textiles, partly fuelled by my years at Monsoon! Now that I am a fashion illustrator I’m really excited to be working with the Monsoon and Accessorize teams".

    Whilst our store teams were busy with our Harrogate store opening on Friday, back at Head Office, we were ending off Mental Health Awareness Week with a game of rounders! In line with this year’s theme, ‘moving more for our mental health’, we got away from our desks, out of the office and engaged in some spirited competition! Look out for the surprise guest who joined our game and who most definitely stole the show! 🐕The head office teams also took part in Wear It Green Day and raised £171 for The Mental Health Foundation. Given that gratitude is such a powerful tool in supporting good mental health, we also shared what we were grateful for and it was great to see everyone’s messages throughout the week. Let’s take the lessons learnt from last week and carry them through to each and every day, continuing with that ever-important conversation of mental health at work 💚 #MentalHealth

    "World Down's Syndrome Day is a time for us to be proud" says Aidan and Jenny, parents to our 10-year old model Erla-Kate. Aidan, who works for Monsoon, continues: "Erla-Kate lights up a room when she arrives. Yes, there are challenging and frustrating times, but life isn't that different to a typical family". Since modelling for Monsoon and Accessorize, Erla-Kate has been signed by a modelling agency. "Her modelling raises the awareness of people with Down's Syndrome into society. Before Erla-Kate was born we were like every other typical family. Having a daughter with Down's Syndrome has made us more aware of people with disabilities and the everyday challenges" says Aidan. "Parenting her is fun (and a bit challenging but isn’t every 10-year-old. The biggest challenge is Erla-Kate’s understanding and communication. She communicates verbally and with Makaton signing. She has no awareness of danger so we are constantly alert wherever we go". In our photography studio, Erla-Kate chose pieces from our new kid's casualwear collection, and danced to Dua Lipa while she posed for the camera, before having a tour of Daddy's workplace. He says "Erla-Kate LOVES to show off. Once she is familiar with a surrounding then there is no stopping her. Anything to show off... new dresses to wear, hair clips, bracelets. It's all amazing". The family is supporting the Down's Syndrome Association #LotsOfSocks Day, to celebrate the individuality of every person with Down's Syndrome.     When thinking about this year’s panellists for our International Women’s Day talk, only one thought came to mind: With a female-dominated Head Office Workforce at 94%, we wanted to hear from some of the incredible women who inspire and lead us to success!On Thursday 7th March, we sat down with one member from each of our brands: Monsoon, Accessorize & Adena Services, hosted by our Senior Stylist Lucy Taggart, we chatted about all things related to this year’s International Women’s Day theme – inspire inclusion! We covered a variety of topics including overcoming stereotypes, allyship, the realities behind being a working mother, and also shared some personal stories which resonated with so many in the audience. A big thank you to the wonderful Lucy T., Ria Campbell, Lucy Simmonds, Jodie Brind.
