Sustainability

Oxford Nanopore Technologies was founded on the vision of making a positive impact and we are committed to understanding and improving our environmental and social performance so that we can make sure this vision is realised.

With this in mind, at the Nanopore Community Meeting 2024 we are inviting delegates to bring their own reusable water bottle, rather than taking a conference bottle, to reduce production of unnecessary collateral. These can be refilled at water stations around the event venue. If you opt-in to this incentive, your name will be put into a draw to win one of three bursaries*.

This is just one of many ways we are trying to make this event more environmentally friendly. For more information on this, please speak to the events team onsite.

You can find out more information about our environmental and social responsibilities strategy via the link below.

*Each bursary can be redeemed as either $500.00 USD travel bursary for a third-party conference, or a conference ticket for London Calling 2025 (ticket prices start at £499.00 + VAT).
